Vermentino VT 2016
Capichera VT is the first vermentino in the world to be produced in barriques. It is one of the finest examples of the white Capichera. Born from intuition that the Vermentino, fermented in French oak wood, could give birth to an original, great white wine, VT is the result of assembling wines from single vineyards, located inside of the historic estate.

The Capichera vineyards are located in the northern region of Sardinia called Gallura. The geological history and features of this area have created its characteristic landscape with an abundance of granite rock which, upon erosion, produces loose acid to sub-acid sandy soils that are rich in potassium yet with a low phosphorous and nitrogen content.
Vermentino is an Italian wine heritage with its chosen territory on coastal land in Gallura. Fabrizio and Mario Ragnedda have made Vermentino their flagship wine and by the '80s and '90s had already reached a leading position on the Italian market.
The colour is straw yellow with golden tinges, extremely limpid; Aroma intense and complex with notes reminiscent of orange blossom, lemon, aromatic herbs, wisteria, lavender flowers and cirrus honey; Flavour dry yet at the same time lively and warm, rich and succulent, with citrus and honey tones; the finish is long and gentle with an extremely persisten aftertaste.
