Born from the vision of Marchesi Antinori, Tormaresca represents an ambitious project aimed at enhancing Puglia's winemaking potential. Tormaresca owns two main estates, each with unique characteristics: "Castel del Monte" (located at the foot of the eponymous castle, an estate characterized by calcareous and clay soils, ideal for growing native grape varieties such as Negroamaro and Primitivo) and Salento, located in the heart of Salento. Its vineyards extend across predominantly sandy soils, giving the wines a fresher, more mineral character. Tormaresca's production philosophy is based on several fundamental principles: the vineyards are cultivated using sustainable methods, prioritizing traditional agricultural practices and limiting the use of chemicals. Tormaresca is committed to promoting native Apulian grape varieties, such as Negroamaro, Primitivo, Fiano, and Nero di Troia, highlighting their unique characteristics. Torcicoda 2023 is a Primitivo del Salento IGT made from 100% Primitivo grapes. It stands out for its contemporary style and for being the first Apulian wine to enter Wine Spectator's Top 100. An intense and structured red, it perfectly expresses the characteristics of the terroir.

Intense ruby ​​red color with purple highlights. On the nose, it releases aromas of black cherry, raspberry, and prune, accompanied by elegant spicy notes of licorice, chocolate, and coffee. On the palate, it is broad, soft, and well-structured, with refined tannins and a pleasant freshness. The finish is long and persistent, with hints of cherry jam.

Ideal paired with local dishes, rich sauces, and roasted meats.
