The history of the company today known as Bruno Rocca has its roots in the nineteenth century and is deeply linked to the Barbaresco territory, of which it preserves the culture and centuries-old traditions on each label. The first Rocca to be the historical reference is Francesco (1834-1894) who together with his brother manages a multipurpose farm in which viticulture takes a primary role, but it's to his nephew Francesco Rocca born in 1907 who was responsible for the change in 50s of the last century. In 1958 Francesco moves the winery and its activities from the center of Barbaresco to the Rabajà zone, whose vineyards give Barbaresco Nebbiolo grapes of far superior quality to the others. Bruno Rocca, son of Francesco, born in 1951 leads the company towards the production of his wine under the family name in the late '70s, going from grape growers to wine growers. In 1978 the first wines were bottled and a deep company rationalization was started in which the primary objective became the production of wines of excellent quality, rather than quantity, capable of expressing the age-old typicality of Barbaresco and making the most of the family cru: the Rabajà. In the 90s Bruno's foresight was rewarded internationally, at the same time new vineyards were acquired and in addition to Barbaresco, the production of the great Piedmontese labels began: Langhe Nebbiolo, Barbera d'Alba and d'Asti, Dolcetto and Chardonnay. Today the sons Francesco and Luisa in the third millennium consolidate the family business, continuing in that secular activity of valorization of the land and its vines in perfect balance between man and nature.

Barbaresco Currà perfectly tells the richness of the clayey and calcareous soils on which the Nebbiolo grapes with which it is produced in Cru Currà are grown. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks for about 20-25 days, followed by 12 months of aging in barriques and 12 months in larger barrels, both of French oak. The result of this careful processing is a full-bodied but balanced wine that fascinates at the first sip.
