The company Pietra Pinta is in Cori, Lazio, geographically situated 55 kilometers south of Rome and 25 from the provincial capital of Latina. The town is situated on the western side of the mountains Lepini, which surround the northeast, forming a beautiful background frame with the rocks and the centuries-old olive trees. The name comes from a village on the slopes of Cori hills where legend has it that following a bloody battle between the followers of Mario and Silla (80 BC), a large stone was dyed purple to commemorate the event. The vineyards are located in Cori campaigns, on the slopes of the Lepini Mountains, under the influence of sea currents coming from the Lazio coast. This ensures hot and dry summers followed by autumns fresh and airy, with large temperature variations between day and night during the grape ripening period. The soil of volcanic origin, are clayey, with a balanced intake of nutrients, which allow the development of a quality viticulture. The Nero Buono, ancient typical vineyard of the town of Cori territory, has always grown in our vineyards in recent years has been the subject of studies that have enhanced the organoleptic characteristics, rediscovering it to the public as a great treasure remained for centuries all ' darkness, but, like all small productions always has something new to show us. So that our grape variety, unique in its kind has been for us a source of inspiration for the recovery and the revival of local production, as well as the quality that our area has to offer. Our vineyards are grown espalier with Guyot pruning. The newly developed vineyard counts 4500 plants per hectare with a production of 1.5 kg of grapes per plant. In the management are planned before thinning shoots and then the grapes, while fertilization treatments and follow environmentally friendly farming philosophy. The gathering takes to achieve perfect ripening of the grapes that occurs on average for the first ten days of October.

Straw-yellow color with marked greenish reflections; the perfume is typically marked by tropical fruit, peach and herbal notes of sage and boxwood, the taste is fresh and persistent with marked acidity but elegant, accompanied by persistent minerality.
