Akashi Blended Japanese Whiskey produced by White Oak Distillery with a golden yellow color with amber reflections, the nose is soft and delicate, with notes of honey, vanilla and wonderful fresh yellow fruit, the mouth is full and enveloping, with a marked depth, intensely aromatic , with some spicy notes and a finish reminiscent of dried fruit.
The White Oak Distillery was founded in 1888 in the city of Akashi, next to the sea and close to Kobe in Japan. It was the first distillery to obtain the license in 1919, and to produce Japanese Whisky of the highest quality, alongside the more traditional sake and shochu, benefiting from a pristine environment made of clean air and pure water. The production philosophy reflects the Japanese vocation for attention to the smallest details, while maintaining low quantities and high quality. The White Oak is the testimony of the success that the Japanese Whisky has had, especially in the last 20 years, conquering an ever greater slice of the market and connoisseurs from all over the world.
White Oak's Akashi is a Blended Japanese Whisky that is obtained from a prevalent part of grain whisky and the remainder from malted barley. The distillation takes place by means of 2 pot stills, and subsequently ages in oak barrels for 3-4 years, hence the recurring woody aromas. An authentic Whisky that expresses the great class of Japanese spirits, produced in limited quantities and all to be tasted.
