Tenuta Frassitelli

The Casa D'Ambra winery was founded by Francesco D'Ambra, for many Don Ciccio, at the end of the 1800s. The company grew from the beginning on the Neapolitan market and then expanded elsewhere and consolidated in the national and international market, especially with the transition to the second generation of the family in 1950. The local grape varieties Biancolella, Forastera and Per''e palummo are vinified in increasingly modern systems, and a process of development and acquisition of vineyards on the island starts in parallel by planting only the autochthonous variety, culminating with the new factory in Panza D'Ischia. Today we are the third generation judged by the oenologist Andrea D'Ambra, Francesco's grandson continuing a journey that has lasted more than 100 years in the world of wine.

Tenuta Frassitelli is the Biancolella born from the Pietra Martone and Tifeo vineyards overlooking the sea on the island of Ischia. The vinification takes place without maceration at controlled low temperatures, and the wine remains in contact with the fermentation yeasts for a long time, refining the organoleptic properties. It's perfect with appetizers and pasta with seafood, or accompanied with a good grilled fish.
